Here is Traffic Diversion Around Monas During Independence Day Commemoration Tomorrow

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is about to detour traffic diversion in connection with the Indonesia Independence Day's 78th Anniversary.

We hope that road users can adjust to the deviations

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo said there are 32 parking locations provided to support a series of Indonesia Independence Day activities around the event venue, where 3,804 parking space units will be provided for cars and 6,324 units for motorbikes.

He urged long-distance train users going to Gambir Station to adjust their travel time.

"We hope that road users can adjust to the deviations, obey the traffic signs, and instructions from officers and prioritize road safety," he expressed, Wednesday (8/16).

As for the information, the series of activities for Indonesia's Independence Day, namely the Bendera Pusaka Carnival will start from 8.30 AM to 9.30 AM with the carnival route from Monas - Southwest Monas Silang - Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat on East side - Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara on North side (State Palace)

Then the Bendera Pusaka Carnival will begin at 4.30 PM to 5.30 PM with the route from Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara on north side/State Palace - Northwest Silang Monas - Monas

To smoothen it, there will be traffic diversion at 7 AM to 11 AM which is situational, with details:

- Jalan Veteran 1, 2, 3, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat and intersection between Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur and Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara is closed to motorcycles, while Transjakarta can still pass (situational)

Then vehicles from east (Pasar Baru) which will head south (Tanah Abang) divert via Jalan Ir H Juanda - Jalan Suryopranoto - Jalan Balikpapan - Jalan Cideng and so on

- Traffic from South (Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur) which will head west (Tanah Abang) via Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara is diverted to Jalan Perwira - Jalan Caddah - Jalan Veteran - Jalan Ir H Juanda and so on

- From north (Jalan Hayam Wuruk) that will head south (Blok M) is diverted via Jalan Ir H. Juanda - Jalan Pos - Jalan Jalan Banteng Utara - Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat - Jalan Taman Penjambon - Jalan Penjambon - Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur and so on

- Fom East (Jalan Ir H. Juanda) heading south (Blok M) will be diverted via Suryapranoto - Jalan Tomang Raya - Jalan S Parman - Jalan Gatot Subroto, and so on

- From Jalan Tomang Raya and Jalan Suryopranoto which will head south (Block M) is diverted via Jalan Ir H. Juanda - Jalan Pos - Jalan Gedung Seni - Jalan Banteng Utara - Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat - Jalan Taman Pejambon - Jalan Penjambon - Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, and so on

- From South (Blok M) to North (Harmoni) is diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis - Jalan Majapahit on West side - and so on

To support the Bendera Pusaka Carnival activities in the afternoon, traffic will be diverted from 3 PM to 7 PM, which is situational, as follows:

- Jalan Veteran 1, 2, 3, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara and intersection between Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur and Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara are closed to motorcycles. Transjakarta which goes through Jalan Majapahit - Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat on east side and Jalan Veteran 3 - Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara on south side is diverted via Jalan Ir H Juanda - Jalan Suryopranoto - Jalan Balikpapan - Jalan Cideng and so on

- Traffic from Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur (from South), which will head west via Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara is diverted to Jalan Perwira - Jalan Cathedral - Jalan Veterans - Jalan Ir H. Juanda and so on

- F rom North (Harmoni) and South (Semanggi) directions is normal and can still cross Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat
